Main updates: what needs you, and everyone you are tending.
What needs you
Everything is quiet.
Your forest
Everything you are tending, and who is tending it. Click one to go to it.
Nothing planted yet. Add a clock-in, a daily limit, or a follow-up.
A. Basics
B. What counts as work?
Websites / Tabs
Monitor selected websites and browser tabs.
People who email you
Mail from a named person counts as work. Outlook on the web only, and the comparison happens inside the tab.
Editors & folders
Monitor editor sessions by project folder. A browser cannot see an editor, so this needs a small helper program running on this computer. It is not part of the extension and cannot be installed from the Chrome Web Store: it comes from the Sporekeeper source, is installed from a terminal, and Chrome must be restarted afterwards.
Until it is installed this does nothing, and nothing is contacted. Folders added here are simply never matched.
We only monitor the sites and folders you add here. Nothing else is read, stored, or sent anywhere.
C. Permissions & detection
You can change these any time from this page.
D. Your companion
This is the reminder itself, at the size and proportions it appears on the page. Nothing in the picture is clickable.
Draws it now, the way it would arrive, without waiting to be detected.
E. Daily limits
A budget for a site you lose time to. When the day's minutes are spent, your companion asks whether it is time to re-evaluate. These are saved as you add them, and they apply to every setup rather than just this one.
No limits yet. Nothing is counted until you add one.

Things to come back to
A page you meant to finish. Save the tab you are on, then move it along as you go. Nothing is noticed for you: a follow-up exists because you pressed a button.
Find the ones you have open
Matches your open tabs against one of your folders and reads a job title and a company off each. Nothing is saved until you say so.
Starts with the boards most applications go through. It is an ordinary folder: read it, edit it, delete it.

What the spreadsheet has in it
Your headers, in your order. A column Sporekeeper does not fill comes out empty, which is exactly what you want for one you keep yourself, like whether a recruiter has been in touch: paste the file into your sheet and your own column is still there, waiting.
What is running
One switch each. There is no switch here that turns on several things at once, and none of these is on unless you can see that it is.
Every promise below is in it, and it is generated from the same document the build checks against the code.
Leaves this machine
One capability, kept apart from everything else because everything else stays here. Off until you turn it on, and turning it on is not the same as connecting an account: it only makes connecting possible.
Enhanced context
Capabilities that need Sporekeeper to read more than it otherwise does. Each is its own decision, each is off until you make it, and each says what it would read before you do.
Sites Sporekeeper may read
Adding one asks Chrome for permission to that site, and nothing else. Remove a site and its text is never read again. An empty list means no page is ever read, however the switch above is set.
No sites approved. No page text is read.
The rest are described and not written. Nothing below is running, reading, or storing anything, and none of them can be switched on. Each is listed so you can see what it would cost before it exists.
Delete what is kept
Each button deletes one kind of thing, immediately and locally. Nothing was ever sent anywhere, so there is nowhere else to delete it from.
Shelves
Folders you name, and the rules that mean a tab belongs on one. Sorting reads the title and address of your open tabs to decide, which is why it has its own switch and why it only ever happens when you press the button.
Sorting is off. It needs to read the titles and addresses of your open tabs, which is more than the rest of Sporekeeper looks at, so it is a separate decision.
No folders yet. Make one, or press Sort and let Sporekeeper suggest some.
Not sorted yet.
Looks at where you have been, not what is open.
Folders Sporekeeper would make
Built from what is actually open, not from a list of categories guessed in advance. Nothing is created until you accept it.
Spore Forest
Nothing here runs on its own. Every button is a thing you press, and what it reads about your tabs it uses and forgets. Saved sessions are the one exception, and they are saved because you asked.

Saved sessions
A saved session keeps the addresses of the tabs in it, which is the only way it could bring them back. Delete one and the addresses go with it.
